Lille City Hotel

Made a last-minute booking as a matter of urgency since I was stuck in Lille for the night (spent the day in Paris then missed my train so booked a new one to Lille to be followed by a carpool home from Lille, which was then cancelled) - the man at reception greeted me at 11pm and was very helpful explaining how the lights work (you have to put your keycard in a slot) and lending me a charger for my phone. The (single) bed was very comfortable, there was a small desk and TV, as well as a reading light above the bed. The bathroom was very clean and in fact nicer than my bathroom at home. Overall, very pleasant stay. Thank you. Paid: €85,50 on booking.com + €1,76 local tax on arrival

Nice room with a view over the rooftops and very big window. Very clean. Staff exceptionally helpful and did not stop me trying to speak French. Breakfast very good value and nice variety of food. Great location. Aircon available though I prefer not to use it.

The staff members were very friendly and made me feel welcome. I arrived on a very hot day and I wanted to buy a bottle of water from the bar, but the lady at the reception was extremely kind and said I could have it for free. It may seem like a small thing, but I appreciated it a lot. Location is very central, which makes value for money even better. The room was comfortable and with air conditioning.

The staff is amazing and super inviting, responsive, hospitable and friendly. I was let in and assisted even though I got in super late-- around 2 AM. I. am so grateful!! The hotel staff is the highlight of my stay. The bed was super comfortable! The location is also central and perfect for a girl traveling by herself.
